At the completion of the internship or residency, our Foot doctors have obtained thorough medical training with a concentration on problems involving the ankles and feet. Our Doctors are studied to address issues extending from common ailments for example, ingrown and fungal toe nails, to those which are more puzzling for example, clubfoot, bunions, or reconstructive surgery of the foot. Doctors at the Foot Institute have extensive surgical instruction which provide them the experience crucial to carry out surgical treatment on those complications that are best remedied through surgical treatment.
Our Doctors also have a thorough knowledge and understanding of biomechanics, which is the study of the forces which the feet and legs endure as we walk, run or perform other activities. Having knowledge of biomechanics and gait problems empowers a Podiatrist to develop shoes and orthotics which can give pain relief and defend against countless issues which the feet typically experience.
