Our podiatrists spend about 10 years in higher education, the first 4 years in undergraduate studies to obtain a Bachelors Degree, and the second four years in Medical School to receive a Podiatric Medical Degree. Podiatric Medical School resembles standard medical school and in fact several podiatry training programs are located within these institutions. Upon receiving a Podiatric Medial Degree, Physicians at the Foot Institute finish a hospital "internship" or residency for yet another one to three years.
At the completion of the internship or residency, our Podiatric doctors have received comprehensive healthcare training with a focus on concerns involving the feet and ankles. Our Doctors are qualified to handle problems varying from familiar ailments for instance fungal and ingrown toenails, to those which are much more perplexing for example clubfoot, bunions, or reconstructive surgery of the foot.
