Our doctors devote around a decade in learning, the first four years in undergrad studies to achieve a Bachelors Degree, and the next four years in Medical School to secure a Podiatric Medical Degree. Podiatric Medical School is similar to conventional medical school and in fact several podiatry training programs lie within these academic institutions. After receiving a Podiatric Medial Degree, Physicians at the Foot Institute undertake a hospital "internship" or residency for another one to three years.

At the conclusion of the internship or post degree residency, our Podiatric doctors have gained comprehensive health care education with an emphasis on issues concerning the ankles and feet. Foot Institute Doctors are taught to manage problems extending from usual ailments such as ingrown and fungal toenails, to those which are more puzzling for instance, clubfoot, bunions, or reconstructive surgery of the foot. Foot Institute Doctors also have an extensive practical knowledge and understanding of biomechanics, which is the study of the forces which the legs and feet submit to as we walk, run or carry out other activities.
