Foot Institute Doctors put in an average of 10 years in higher education, the first 4 years in undergraduate studies to obtain a Bachelors Degree, and the next four years in Medical School to have a Podiatric Medical Degree. Podiatric Medical School is similar to conventional medical school and in fact several podiatry programmes lie within these schools. After obtaining a Podiatric Medial Degree, Physicians at the Foot Institute undertake a hospital "internship" or post degree residency for another one to three years.

At the completion of the internship or residency, our Foot doctors have received extensive medical education with a focus on conditions regarding the feet and ankles. Our Doctors are instructed to address issues ranging from regular ailments such as ingrown and fungal toe nails, to those which are more complex for example clubfoot, bunions, or reconstructive surgery of the foot. Doctors at the Foot Institute have considerable surgical education which furnish them the experience necessary to execute surgery on those conditions that are best remedied through surgical intervention.
