After securing a Podiatric Medial Degree, Doctors at the Foot Institute complete a hospital "internship" or post degree residency for another 1 to 3 years.

Doctors at the Foot Institute also have an extensive knowledge and understanding of biomechanics, which is the study of the forces which the feet and legs endure as we walk, run or perform other tasks. Knowing biomechanics and gait deviations enables a Podiatrist to design shoes and orthotics which can deliver pain relief and reduce the chances of countless complications which the feet normally encounter.
