Foot Institute Doctors devote an average of 10 years in learning, the first four years in undergraduate studies to obtain a Bachelors Degree, and the second four years in Medical School to attain a Podiatric Medical Degree. Podiatric Medical School resembles regular medical school and actually a number of podiatry programs are located inside these academic institutions. After receiving a Podiatric Medial Degree, Podiatrists at the Foot Institute finish a hospital "internship" or residency for another 1 - 3 years.
