Foot Institute Doctors invest around 10 years in learning, the first four years in undergraduate studies to secure a Bachelors Degree, and the 2nd four years in Medical School to obtain a Podiatric Medical Degree. Podiatric Medical School resembles traditional medical school and in fact a number of podiatry training programs are located within these academic institutions. After achieving a Podiatric Medial Degree, Doctors at the Foot Institute complete a hospital "internship" or post degree residency for another one to three years.

At the completion of the internship or residency, our Podiatric doctors have obtained substantial health care training with a focus on concerns involving the ankles and feet. Our Doctors are instructed to manage complications ranging from typical conditions for example, ingrown and fungal toe nails, to those which are more challenging for example clubfoot, bunions, or reconstructive surgery of the foot. Doctors at The Foot Institute have significant surgical education which supply them the practical experience necessary to perform surgical treatment on those problems that are best treated through surgical intervention.
