They devote about ten years in education, the first 4 years in undergrad studies to secure a Bachelors Degree, and the 2nd four years in Medical School to obtain a Podiatric Medical Degree. Podiatric Medical School is similar to usual medical school and actually quite a number podiatry training programs are located inside these schools. After obtaining a Podiatric Medial Degree, Physicians at the Foot Institute finish a hospital "internship" or residency for another 1 - 3 years.

Upon the fulfillment of the internship or post degree residency, our Podiatric physicians have received comprehensive medical training with an attention to on problems concerning the feet and ankles. Our Doctors are skilled to deal with problems varying from standard disorders for instance, ingrown and fungal toenails, to those which are even more complex such as clubfoot, bunions, or reconstructive surgery of the foot. Doctors at the Foot Institute have considerable surgical instruction which provide them the expertise crucial to perform surgery on those problems that are ideally remedied through surgical treatment.

Doctors at the Foot Institute furthermore have an extensive knowledge and understanding of biomechanics, which is the study of the forces which the legs and feet undergo as we walk, run or perform other tasks. Having knowledge of biomechanics and gait problems facilitates a Foot doctor to design footwear and orthotics which can provide pain relief and defend against countless troubles which the feet typically encounter.
