They spend about ten years in higher education, the first 4 years in undergraduate studies to obtain a Bachelors Degree, and the next four years in Medical School to acquire a Podiatric Medical Degree. Podiatric Medical School is similar to usual medical school and in reality many podiatry training programs are located within these academic institutions. At the completion of the internship or residency, our Podiatrists have received encompassing medical education with an attention to on problems pertaining to the ankles and feet. Our Doctors are skilled to care for problems extending from regular ailments for instance fungal and ingrown toe nails, to those which are much more complicated including clubfoot, bunions, or reconstructive surgery of the foot. Doctors at The Foot Institute have significant surgical education which supply them the skill essential to execute surgical treatment on those problems that are best handled through surgical intervention.

Doctors at the Foot Institute also have an extensive practical knowledge and understanding of biomechanics, which is the study of the forces which the legs and feet receive as we walk, run or carry out other tasks.
