Our doctors put in approximately 10 years in education, the first 4 years in undergraduate studies to achieve a Bachelors Degree, and the second 4 years in Medical School to secure a Podiatric Medical Degree. Podiatric Medical School is similar to conventional medical school and in reality several podiatry training programs are contained inside these academic institutions. Upon acquiring a Podiatric Medial Degree, Physicians at the Foot Institute complete a hospital "internship" or residency for another one to three years.

At the finalization of the internship or residency, our Foot doctors have obtained significant health care instruction with an emphasis on problems involving the feet and ankles. Our Doctors are studied to handle issues varying from common problems such as ingrown and fungal toenails, to those which are much more puzzling for instance, clubfoot, bunions, or reconstructive surgery of the foot. Our physicians have substantial surgical instruction which provide them the prior experience needed to perform surgery on those concerns that are best remedied through surgical treatment.

Doctors at the Foot Institute additionally have a comprehensive practical knowledge and understanding of biomechanics, which is the study of the forces which the legs and feet receive as we walk, run or perform other activities. Realizing biomechanics and gait problems makes it possible for a Foot doctor to create footwear and orthotics which can provide pain relief and defend against numerous conditions which the feet routinely encounter.
