Podiatric Medical School is similar to general medical school and actually several podiatry training programs are located within these schools. After obtaining a Podiatric Medial Degree, Physicians at the Foot Institute finish a hospital "internship" or residency for an additional one to three years.

Upon the finalization of the internship or residency, our Doctors have received encompassing medical instruction with a stress on complications regarding the ankles and feet. Our Doctors are taught to address problems varying from normal afflictions such as ingrown and fungal toenails, to those which are even more obscure for example clubfoot, bunions, or reconstructive surgery of the foot. Foot Institute Doctors also have a thorough expertise and understanding of biomechanics, which is the study of the forces which the feet and legs undergo as we walk, run or perform other activities.
