Camrose Podiatrist & Foot Clinic

Medical doctors here at The Foot Institute – Camrose provide services for the surgical and medical therapy of the ankle and foot. Foot Institute Podiatrists spend an average of 10 years in education, the first 4 years in undergrad studies to obtain a Bachelors Degree, and the 2nd 4 years in Medical School to obtain a Podiatric Medical Degree. Podiatric Medical School resembles conventional medical school and as a matter of fact several podiatry training programs are located within these institutions. After obtaining a Podiatric Medial Degree, Physicians at the Foot Institute finish a hospital "internship" or residency for another one to three years.

At the finalization of the internship or residency, our Foot doctors have received encompassing medical instruction with a main focus on problems concerning the ankles and feet. They are trained to manage conditions extending from standard disorders for instance fungal and ingrown toenails, to those which are far more complex for example, clubfoot, bunions, or reconstructive surgery of the foot. Our physicians have comprehensive surgical training which provide them the expertise vital to conduct surgical treatment on those problems that are ideally handled through surgical treatment.

Our Doctors likewise have a thorough practical knowledge and understanding of biomechanics, which is the study of the forces which the legs and feet experience as we walk, run or carry out other activities. Understanding biomechanics and gait irregularities facilitates a Podiatric physician to create footwear and orthotics which can deliver pain relief and avoid numerous issues which the feet normally encounter.
