Foot Institute Doctors invest approximately ten years in education, the first four years in undergrad studies to acquire a Bachelors Degree, and the second 4 years in Medical School to acquire a Podiatric Medical Degree. Podiatric Medical School resembles general medical school and quite a number podiatry training programs lie inside these schools. After achieving a Podiatric Medial Degree, Doctors at the Foot Institute finish a hospital "internship" or residency for another 1 - 3 years.

Upon the completion of the internship or residency, our Foot doctors have acquired significant medical instruction with a stress on conditions concerning the ankles and feet. Our Doctors are educated to care for conditions stretching from usual conditions such as ingrown and fungal toe nails, to those which are even more puzzling for instance, clubfoot, bunions, or reconstructive surgery of the foot. Doctors at the Foot Institute furthermore have an extensive expertise and understanding of biomechanics, which is the study of the forces which the legs and feet receive as we walk, run or carry out other activities. Realizing biomechanics and gait deviations allows a Podiatrist to design footwear and orthotics that can give pain relief and help prevent countless complications which the feet usually encounter.
