Doctors at The Foot Institute – Airdrie concentrate on the surgical and medical therapy of the foot and ankle. Our doctors put in around a decade in learning, the first 4 years in undergraduate studies to acquire a Bachelors Degree, and the following 4 years in Medical School to obtain a Podiatric Medical Degree. Podiatric Medical School is similar to conventional medical school and numerous podiatry training programs are located inside these academic institutions. After obtaining a Podiatric Medial Degree, Doctors at the Foot Institute finish a hospital "internship" or residency for another one to three years.

Upon the fulfillment of the internship or residency, our Foot doctors have acquired wide-ranging medical instruction with an attention to on conditions concerning the ankles and feet. Our Doctors are skilled to address concerns ranging from simple conditions for instance ingrown and fungal toe nails, to those which are far more obscure for example, clubfoot, bunions, or reconstructive surgery of the foot. Having knowledge of biomechanics and gait problems allows a Podiatric physician to design shoes and orthotics which can deliver pain relief and reduce the chances of countless problems which the feet commonly experience.
