Foot Institute Podiatrists invest approximately 10 years in higher education, the first 4 years in undergraduate studies to acquire a Bachelors Degree, and the 2nd 4 years in Medical School to have a Podiatric Medical Degree. Podiatric Medical School resembles typical medical school and a number of podiatry training programs are contained within these institutions. Upon obtaining a Podiatric Medial Degree, Doctors at the Foot Institute carry out a hospital "internship" or residency for another one to three years.
