Our doctors invest an average of 10 years in higher education, the first four years in undergraduate studies to obtain a Bachelors Degree, and the next four years in Medical School to get a Podiatric Medical Degree. Podiatric Medical School resembles typical medical school and in point of fact many podiatry programmes are located inside these academic institutions. After acquiring a Podiatric Medial Degree, Podiatrists at the Foot Institute complete a hospital "internship" or residency for an additional one to three years.

At the completion of the internship or post degree residency, our Podiatrists have received considerable medical education with an emphasis on problems pertaining to the ankles and feet.
