Our doctors invest about ten years in education, the first 4 years in undergraduate studies to obtain a Bachelors Degree, and the second four years in Medical School to obtain a Podiatric Medical Degree. Podiatric Medical School resembles traditional medical school and in fact several podiatry training programs are contained inside these institutions. After procuring a Podiatric Medial Degree, Physicians at the Foot Institute undertake a hospital "internship" or residency for another 1 to 3 years.

At the conclusion of the internship or residency, our Podiatrists have received significant medical instruction with an importance on concerns regarding the ankles and feet. They are qualified to address difficulties varying from typical disorders for instance ingrown and fungal toenails, to those which are much more challenging such as clubfoot, bunions, or reconstructive surgery of the foot. Our Doctors have considerable surgical training which supply them the prior experience essential to perform surgical treatment on those problems that are best treated through surgical intervention.

Doctors at the Foot Institute also have a thorough knowledge and understanding of biomechanics, which is the study of the forces which the legs and feet experience as we walk, run or perform other activities. Knowing biomechanics and gait irregularities permits a Podiatric doctor to design footwear and orthotics which can deliver pain relief and avoid numerous conditions which the feet generally encounter.
