Our podiatrists invest about 10 years in higher education, the first four years in undergraduate studies to secure a Bachelors Degree, and the second four years in Medical School to secure a Podiatric Medical Degree. Podiatric Medical School corresponds to conventional medical school and several podiatry programs are located inside these academic institutions. After receiving a Podiatric Medial Degree, Physicians at the Foot Institute complete a hospital "internship" or post degree residency for another one to three years.

At the completion of the internship or residency, our Foot doctors have acquired comprehensive medical education with a main focus on problems concerning the ankles and feet. They are taught to deal with problems extending from general ailments for instance, fungal and ingrown toe nails, to those which are much more complex for example, clubfoot, bunions, or reconstructive surgery of the foot.
