Podiatric Medical School is similar to usual medical school and in point of fact various podiatry programmes are contained inside these academic institutions. After procuring a Podiatric Medial Degree, Doctors at the Foot Institute perform a hospital "internship" or post degree residency for an additional one to three years.

At the completion of the internship or residency, our Podiatrists have acquired comprehensive medical training with an emphasis on issues involving the feet and ankles. Foot Institute Doctors also have a thorough expertise and understanding of biomechanics, which is the study of the forces which the legs and feet experience as we walk, run or perform other activities. Knowing biomechanics and gait irregularities enables a Podiatrist to design shoes and orthotics that can deliver pain relief and prevent countless issues which the feet typically encounter.
