They invest about a decade in education, the first four years in undergraduate studies to obtain a Bachelors Degree, and the next 4 years in Medical School to obtain a Podiatric Medical Degree. Podiatric Medical School is similar to regular medical school and actually numerous podiatry training programs are contained inside these institutions. After attaining a Podiatric Medial Degree, Podiatrists at the Foot Institute complete a hospital "internship" or residency for an additional one to three years.
