Foot Institute Doctors devote about a decade in higher education, the first four years in undergrad studies to receive a Bachelors Degree, and the second 4 years in Medical School to obtain a Podiatric Medical Degree. Podiatric Medical School corresponds to conventional medical school and in fact several podiatry training programs lie inside these institutions. After getting a Podiatric Medial Degree, Podiatrists at the Foot Institute complete a hospital "internship" or residency for another 1 to 3 years.

Upon the completion of the internship or residency, our Podiatric doctors have acquired extensive medical instruction with an importance on conditions pertaining to the feet and ankles. Our Doctors are studied to handle issues ranging from basic problems for instance ingrown and fungal toe nails, to those which are even more sophisticated such as clubfoot, bunions, or reconstructive surgery of the foot. Our physicians have comprehensive surgical education which supply them the experience necessary to conduct surgical treatment on those complications that are ideally treated through surgical intervention.

Our Doctors also have a thorough expertise and understanding of biomechanics, which is the study of the forces which the legs and feet experience as we walk, run or perform other activities. Realizing biomechanics and gait peculiarities makes it possible for a Podiatric physician to design footwear and orthotics which can deliver pain relief and prevent countless issues which the feet routinely encounter.
