Upon the completion of the internship or residency, our Podiatrists have acquired encompassing medical education with a stress on issues pertaining to the ankles and feet. They are studied to handle problems ranging from simple ailments such as fungal and ingrown toenails, to those which are far more complex for example clubfoot, bunions, or reconstructive surgery of the foot. Doctors at The Foot Institute have comprehensive surgical education which supply them the expertise essential to carry out surgical treatment on those troubles that are best remedied through surgical treatment.

Foot Institute Doctors also have an extensive knowledge and understanding of biomechanics, which is the study of the forces which the feet and legs undergo as we walk, run or perform other tasks. Recognizing biomechanics and gait abnormalities allows a Podiatrist to design shoes and orthotics which can provide pain relief and reduce the chances of a large number of conditions which the feet routinely experience.
