They spend approximately ten years in higher education, the first 4 years in undergraduate studies to attain a Bachelors Degree, and the second 4 years in Medical School to receive a Podiatric Medical Degree. Podiatric Medical School is similar to conventional medical school and in fact various podiatry programs are located within these institutions. Upon getting a Podiatric Medial Degree, Physicians at the Foot Institute carry out a hospital "internship" or residency for another one to three years.

At the completion of the internship or residency, our Foot doctors have received comprehensive healthcare instruction with an attention to on issues regarding the ankles and feet.
