Our podiatrists invest an average of a decade in learning, the first 4 years in undergraduate studies to obtain a Bachelors Degree, and the following 4 years in Medical School to acquire a Podiatric Medical Degree. Podiatric Medical School is similar to usual medical school and as a matter of fact various podiatry programmes are contained within these institutions. Upon receiving a Podiatric Medial Degree, Doctors at the Foot Institute complete a hospital "internship" or post degree residency for yet another one to three years.

At the completion of the internship or residency, our Podiatric doctors have received significant health care instruction with a stress on issues involving the feet and ankles. Our Doctors are taught to deal with concerns varying from familiar ailments such as ingrown and fungal toe nails, to those which are much more sophisticated such as clubfoot, bunions, or reconstructive surgery of the foot. Foot Institute Doctors furthermore have a thorough expertise and understanding of biomechanics, which is the study of the forces which the legs and feet submit to as we walk, run or perform other activities.
