They spend an average of a decade in higher education, the first 4 years in undergrad studies to receive a Bachelors Degree, and the next four years in Medical School to acquire a Podiatric Medical Degree. Podiatric Medical School is similar to standard medical school and in fact several podiatry training programs are contained within these schools. Upon acquiring a Podiatric Medial Degree, Podiatrists at the Foot Institute undertake a hospital "internship" or residency for an additional one to three years.

At the completion of the internship or residency, our Podiatrists have received comprehensive healthcare instruction with a stress on complications involving the ankles and feet. They are instructed to treat concerns stretching from general ailments for example, ingrown and fungal toe nails, to those which are a lot more perplexing for example clubfoot, bunions, or reconstructive surgery of the foot.
