They spend approximately 10 years in higher education, the first four years in undergraduate studies to attain a Bachelors Degree, and the following 4 years in Medical School to obtain a Podiatric Medical Degree. Podiatric Medical School resembles usual medical school and as a matter of fact many podiatry programmes are located within these institutions. Upon attaining a Podiatric Medial Degree, Doctors at the Foot Institute carry out a hospital "internship" or post degree residency for another one to three years.

At the completion of the internship or residency, our Podiatric doctors have received extensive health care instruction with a stress on conditions concerning the feet and ankles.
