Upon procuring a Podiatric Medial Degree, Physicians at the Foot Institute complete a hospital "internship" or residency for another one to three years.

Upon the completion of the internship or post degree residency, our Foot doctors have received substantial healthcare training with an emphasis on problems pertaining to the feet and ankles. Foot Institute Doctors are skilled to address problems ranging from simple problems such as fungal and ingrown toenails, to those which are even more challenging like clubfoot, bunions, or reconstructive surgery of the foot. Realizing biomechanics and gait problems permits a Podiatric doctor to design footwear and orthotics that can offer pain relief and avoid numerous problems which the feet normally encounter.
