Doctors at The Foot Institute – Grande Prairie focus on the surgical and medical therapy of the ankle and foot. They put in an average of 10 years in higher education, the first 4 years in undergraduate studies to achieve a Bachelors Degree, and the following four years in Medical School to obtain a Podiatric Medical Degree. Podiatric Medical School corresponds to traditional medical school and in point of fact a number of podiatry programmes are contained within these academic institutions. After achieving a Podiatric Medial Degree, Doctors at the Foot Institute carry out a hospital "internship" or post degree residency for an additional one to three years.

At the completion of the internship or residency, our Podiatrists have acquired encompassing medical training with a concentration on difficulties involving the feet and ankles.
