Camrose Podiatrist & Foot Clinic

Doctors at The Foot Institute – Camrose provide services for the surgical and medical treatment of the foot and ankle. Our podiatrists spend about 10 years in higher education, the first four years in undergrad studies to get a Bachelors Degree, and the following four years in Medical School to attain a Podiatric Medical Degree. Podiatric Medical School is similar to conventional medical school and in fact many podiatry programs lie within these academic institutions. After getting a Podiatric Medial Degree, Physicians at the Foot Institute finish a hospital "internship" or post degree residency for another 1 to 3 years.

At the finalization of the internship or post degree residency, our Doctors have obtained comprehensive healthcare education with an emphasis on complications involving the ankles and feet. Foot Institute Doctors are studied to care for conditions ranging from regular disorders like fungal and ingrown toe nails, to those which are much more complicated such as clubfoot, bunions, or reconstructive surgery of the foot. Doctors at The Foot Institute have comprehensive surgical training which give them the expertise necessary to conduct surgical treatment on those problems that are best treated through surgical treatment.

Doctors at the Foot Institute additionally have a thorough expertise and understanding of biomechanics, which is the study of the forces which the feet and legs submit to as we walk, run or perform other tasks. Understanding biomechanics and gait abnormalities enables a Foot doctor to develop shoes and orthotics that can provide pain relief and avoid numerous problems which the feet frequently experience.
