Camrose Podiatrist & Foot Clinic

Dr.’s at The Foot Institute – Camrose concentrate on the surgical and medical treatment of the ankle and foot. They invest approximately 10 years in higher education, the first four years in undergrad studies to obtain a Bachelors Degree, and the second 4 years in Medical School to acquire a Podiatric Medical Degree. Podiatric Medical School is similar to conventional medical school and several podiatry programmes are located inside these schools. After attaining a Podiatric Medial Degree, Podiatrists at the Foot Institute finish a hospital "internship" or residency for yet another one to three years.

At the completion of the internship or residency, our Podiatric physicians have received extensive healthcare education with an importance on issues concerning the ankles and feet. Our Doctors are trained to treat conditions ranging from basic ailments for instance, fungal and ingrown toenails, to those which are a lot more puzzling for instance, clubfoot, bunions, or reconstructive surgery of the foot. Our Doctors have comprehensive surgical training which give them the experience essential to perform surgical treatment on those issues that are best handled through surgical treatment.

Foot Institute Doctors likewise have an extensive knowledge and understanding of biomechanics, which is the study of the forces which the legs and feet submit to as we walk, run or perform other activities. Recognizing biomechanics and gait deviations allows a Foot doctor to create footwear and orthotics which can bestow pain relief and defend against many conditions which the feet regularly experience.
