Camrose Podiatrist & Foot Clinic

Podiatrists at The Foot Institute – Camrose concentrate on the surgical and medical treatment of the ankle and foot. Our podiatrists put in an average of a decade in learning, the first four years in undergraduate studies to secure a Bachelors Degree, and the second 4 years in Medical School to have a Podiatric Medical Degree. Podiatric Medical School is similar to conventional medical school and several podiatry training programs are located inside these institutions. After achieving a Podiatric Medial Degree, Doctors at the Foot Institute perform a hospital "internship" or post degree residency for another 1 to 3 years.

Upon the conclusion of the internship or residency, our Podiatrists have gained substantial health care education with an emphasis on difficulties pertaining to the feet and ankles. Our Doctors are qualified to manage problems stretching from familiar problems such as fungal and ingrown toenails, to those which are even more perplexing including clubfoot, bunions, or reconstructive surgery of the foot. Our Doctors have comprehensive surgical instruction which provide them the prior experience necessary to carry out surgical treatment on those conditions that are best treated through surgical treatment.

Foot Institute Doctors likewise have a thorough expertise and understanding of biomechanics, which is the study of the forces which the legs and feet receive as we walk, run or carry out other activities. Realizing biomechanics and gait irregularities makes it easy for a Podiatrist to design footwear and orthotics which can deliver pain relief and reduce the chances of numerous conditions which the feet generally encounter.
