They spend an average of a decade in higher education, the first four years in undergraduate studies to achieve a Bachelors Degree, and the second four years in Medical School to acquire a Podiatric Medical Degree. After obtaining a Podiatric Medial Degree, Physicians at the Foot Institute perform a hospital "internship" or residency for an additional one to three years.
