Foot Institute Podiatrists invest approximately 10 years in higher education, the first four years in undergrad studies to acquire a Bachelors Degree, and the second four years in Medical School to receive a Podiatric Medical Degree. Podiatric Medical School is similar to traditional medical school and in point of fact many podiatry training programs are located within these schools. Upon receiving a Podiatric Medial Degree, Physicians at the Foot Institute complete a hospital "internship" or residency for yet another 1 - 3 years.

At the completion of the internship or residency, our Foot doctors have obtained thorough health care education with an importance on concerns involving the feet and ankles. Our Doctors are skilled to manage concerns extending from commonplace conditions for example, fungal and ingrown toe nails, to those which are more intricate such as clubfoot, bunions, or reconstructive surgery of the foot. Doctors at The Foot Institute have comprehensive surgical training which furnish them the experience needed to conduct surgical treatment on those complications that are best treated through surgical intervention.

Foot Institute Doctors furthermore have a comprehensive expertise and understanding of biomechanics, which is the study of the forces which the feet and legs undergo as we walk, run or perform other activities. Learning about biomechanics and gait abnormalities permits a Podiatric doctor to develop shoes and orthotics that can offer pain relief and reduce the chances of numerous troubles which the feet regularly experience.
