Our podiatrists devote approximately a decade in learning, the first 4 years in undergraduate studies to get a Bachelors Degree, and the second four years in Medical School to obtain a Podiatric Medical Degree. Podiatric Medical School is similar to conventional medical school and in fact numerous podiatry programmes are located inside these institutions. After obtaining a Podiatric Medial Degree, Physicians at the Foot Institute carry out a hospital "internship" or post degree residency for an additional 1 to 3 years.

Upon the completion of the internship or post degree residency, our Podiatrists have received substantial medical education with an emphasis on conditions pertaining to the ankles and feet. Foot Institute Doctors are qualified to treat issues ranging from general problems like fungal and ingrown toenails, to those which are far more puzzling for example clubfoot, bunions, or reconstructive surgery of the foot. Our physicians have extensive surgical education which supply them the expertise vital to perform surgery on those problems that are best treated through surgical intervention.
