They spend about 10 years in higher education, the first four years in undergraduate studies to get a Bachelors Degree, and the second four years in Medical School to secure a Podiatric Medical Degree. Podiatric Medical School resembles conventional medical school and as a matter of fact several podiatry training programs lie inside these schools. Upon attaining a Podiatric Medial Degree, Podiatrists at the Foot Institute complete a hospital "internship" or post degree residency for yet another 1 - 3 years.

At the completion of the internship or residency, our Doctors have received wide-ranging health care education with an emphasis on problems involving the feet and ankles.
