Physicians here at The Foot Institute – Red Deer provide services for the surgical and medical treatment of the foot and ankle. They spend around 10 years in higher education, the first 4 years in undergrad studies to acquire a Bachelors Degree, and the next four years in Medical School to obtain a Podiatric Medical Degree. Podiatric Medical School resembles usual medical school and in fact several podiatry programmes lie inside these institutions. Upon obtaining a Podiatric Medial Degree, Physicians at the Foot Institute complete a hospital "internship" or residency for another 1 to 3 years.

At the completion of the internship or residency, our Foot doctors have received significant medical training with an attention to on difficulties regarding the ankles and feet.
