Our doctors put in approximately 10 years in learning, the first 4 years in undergraduate studies to get a Bachelors Degree, and the 2nd four years in Medical School to secure a Podiatric Medical Degree. Podiatric Medical School corresponds to typical medical school and in reality several podiatry training programs are contained within these institutions. After obtaining a Podiatric Medial Degree, Doctors at the Foot Institute undertake a hospital "internship" or post degree residency for an additional 1 to 3 years.

Upon the completion of the internship or residency, our Doctors have received extensive medical education with an importance on concerns concerning the feet and ankles. They are trained to care for concerns varying from general disorders for instance, ingrown and fungal toenails, to those which are more perplexing for example clubfoot, bunions, or reconstructive surgery of the foot. Doctors at the Foot Institute have substantial surgical instruction which supply them the practical experience needed to perform surgical treatment on those problems that are ideally treated through surgical intervention.

Our Doctors furthermore have a thorough knowledge and understanding of biomechanics, which is the study of the forces which the feet and legs undergo as we walk, run or perform other activities. Having knowledge of biomechanics and gait peculiarities makes it easy for a Podiatric physician to design shoes and orthotics which can provide pain relief and avoid countless issues which the feet normally encounter.
