They put in an average of ten years in learning, the first four years in undergrad studies to attain a Bachelors Degree, and the 2nd 4 years in Medical School to obtain a Podiatric Medical Degree. Podiatric Medical School resembles conventional medical school and in fact several podiatry programs are contained inside these institutions. After getting a Podiatric Medial Degree, Doctors at the Foot Institute carry out a hospital "internship" or residency for another one to three years.

At the finalization of the internship or residency, our Podiatric physicians have acquired encompassing health care instruction with an emphasis on complications involving the feet and ankles. They are trained to handle problems stretching from typical ailments for instance, ingrown and fungal toenails, to those which are more puzzling for instance, clubfoot, bunions, or reconstructive surgery of the foot. Our physicians have comprehensive surgical education which furnish them the prior experience crucial to conduct surgical treatment on those problems that are best remedied through surgical treatment.

Our Doctors also have an extensive expertise and understanding of biomechanics, which is the study of the forces which the feet and legs go through as we walk, run or perform other tasks. Understanding biomechanics and gait abnormalities permits a Podiatrist to develop shoes and orthotics that can deliver pain relief and reduce the chances of a large number of conditions which the feet routinely experience.
