They spend an average of a decade in learning, the first four years in undergraduate studies to obtain a Bachelors Degree, and the following four years in Medical School to secure a Podiatric Medical Degree. Podiatric Medical School corresponds to traditional medical school and in fact many podiatry training programs are located inside these academic institutions. After attaining a Podiatric Medial Degree, Physicians at the Foot Institute finish a hospital "internship" or post degree residency for another one to three years.

At the completion of the internship or residency, our Podiatrists have obtained extensive healthcare training with a stress on complications involving the ankles and feet. Our Doctors are studied to address issues varying from conventional disorders for instance fungal and ingrown toe nails, to those which are much more complicated like clubfoot, bunions, or reconstructive surgery of the foot. Our Doctors have substantial surgical education which provide them the skill necessary to conduct surgery on those troubles that are best handled through surgical intervention.

Doctors at the Foot Institute furthermore have a thorough expertise and understanding of biomechanics, which is the study of the forces which the feet and legs submit to as we walk, run or perform other activities.
