Foot Institute Doctors invest approximately a decade in education, the first four years in undergraduate studies to obtain a Bachelors Degree, and the second four years in Medical School to attain a Podiatric Medical Degree. Podiatric Medical School resembles regular medical school and in fact several podiatry programs are contained within these institutions. After attaining a Podiatric Medial Degree, Physicians at the Foot Institute carry out a hospital "internship" or residency for yet another 1 to 3 years.

At the conclusion of the internship or residency, our Podiatric doctors have received thorough health care training with a main focus on problems involving the ankles and feet. Foot Institute Doctors are educated to deal with complications ranging from conventional ailments for instance, ingrown and fungal toe nails, to those which are even more sophisticated for example clubfoot, bunions, or reconstructive surgery of the foot. Doctors at The Foot Institute have extensive surgical instruction which give them the expertise needed to execute surgical treatment on those concerns that are best treated through surgical intervention.

Our Doctors also have a thorough practical knowledge and understanding of biomechanics, which is the study of the forces which the feet and legs withstand as we walk, run or carry out other tasks.
