Podiatric Medical School is similar to usual medical school and as a matter of fact several podiatry training programs are contained inside these institutions. After obtaining a Podiatric Medial Degree, Doctors at the Foot Institute finish a hospital "internship" or post degree residency for another 1 - 3 years.

At the fulfillment of the internship or post degree residency, our Doctors have acquired extensive medical education with an emphasis on complications concerning the feet and ankles. Our Doctors are instructed to treat concerns ranging from usual afflictions for instance fungal and ingrown toenails, to those which are far more challenging such as clubfoot, bunions, or reconstructive surgery of the foot. Doctors at the Foot Institute have thorough surgical instruction which give them the practical experience needed to conduct surgical treatment on those conditions that are best treated through surgical treatment.

Foot Institute Doctors also have a thorough expertise and understanding of biomechanics, which is the study of the forces which the legs and feet submit to as we walk, run or perform other activities. Understanding biomechanics and gait deviations empowers a Podiatric doctor to design footwear and orthotics which can deliver pain relief and prevent many issues which the feet generally encounter.
