Our podiatrists invest an average of ten years in education, the first 4 years in undergraduate studies to acquire a Bachelors Degree, and the following 4 years in Medical School to receive a Podiatric Medical Degree. Podiatric Medical School is similar to usual medical school and actually various podiatry training programs are located inside these academic institutions. After getting a Podiatric Medial Degree, Doctors at the Foot Institute perform a hospital "internship" or post degree residency for yet another one to three years.

At the completion of the internship or post degree residency, our Podiatric physicians have obtained significant health care education with a stress on problems pertaining to the ankles and feet. Knowing biomechanics and gait peculiarities facilitates a Podiatrist to design footwear and orthotics which can give pain relief and avoid countless issues which the feet routinely encounter.
