They devote about a decade in education, the first four years in undergraduate studies to acquire a Bachelors Degree, and the second 4 years in Medical School to have a Podiatric Medical Degree. Podiatric Medical School is similar to conventional medical school and in fact various podiatry programs are located within these schools. After securing a Podiatric Medial Degree, Physicians at the Foot Institute finish a hospital "internship" or residency for yet another 1 - 3 years.

Upon the conclusion of the internship or residency, our Podiatrists have received significant health care training with a concentration on concerns pertaining to the feet and ankles. Foot Institute Doctors are taught to treat problems extending from common ailments like fungal and ingrown toenails, to those which are even more obscure including clubfoot, bunions, or reconstructive surgery of the foot.
