They devote approximately a decade in higher education, the first four years in undergraduate studies to obtain a Bachelors Degree, and the second four years in Medical School to attain a Podiatric Medical Degree. Podiatric Medical School corresponds to traditional medical school and in point of fact a number of podiatry training programs are contained within these academic institutions. After obtaining a Podiatric Medial Degree, Doctors at the Foot Institute undertake a hospital "internship" or post degree residency for another 1 - 3 years.

Upon the conclusion of the internship or post degree residency, our Foot doctors have acquired encompassing medical instruction with a focus on problems concerning the ankles and feet. Our Doctors are educated to manage concerns varying from standard afflictions for example, ingrown and fungal toenails, to those which are much more intricate for instance, clubfoot, bunions, or reconstructive surgery of the foot. Doctors at the Foot Institute have thorough surgical instruction which provide them the prior experience necessary to perform surgery on those complications that are best remedied through surgical intervention.

Doctors at the Foot Institute likewise have an extensive knowledge and understanding of biomechanics, which is the study of the forces which the legs and feet undergo as we walk, run or perform other activities.
