Our doctors spend an average of 10 years in learning, the first four years in undergrad studies to secure a Bachelors Degree, and the next four years in Medical School to have a Podiatric Medical Degree. Podiatric Medical School is similar to standard medical school and in point of fact a number of podiatry programs are located within these schools. After obtaining a Podiatric Medial Degree, Physicians at the Foot Institute finish a hospital "internship" or residency for yet another one to three years.

At the fulfillment of the internship or residency, our Podiatrists have acquired substantial medical training with a main focus on complications concerning the feet and ankles. Our Doctors are qualified to care for complications stretching from commonplace afflictions such as fungal and ingrown toenails, to those which are even more puzzling like clubfoot, bunions, or reconstructive surgery of the foot. Our physicians have extensive surgical training which furnish them the expertise crucial to carry out surgery on those problems that are best treated through surgical treatment.

Foot Institute Doctors also have a thorough practical knowledge and understanding of biomechanics, which is the study of the forces which the legs and feet endure as we walk, run or perform other activities.
