They invest approximately ten years in higher education, the first 4 years in undergrad studies to obtain a Bachelors Degree, and the next 4 years in Medical School to have a Podiatric Medical Degree. Podiatric Medical School corresponds to regular medical school and in fact a number of podiatry programs are contained within these schools. Upon achieving a Podiatric Medial Degree, Podiatrists at the Foot Institute carry out a hospital "internship" or residency for another 1 - 3 years.

At the conclusion of the internship or residency, our Podiatric doctors have received extensive medical education with a concentration on concerns involving the ankles and feet. They are skilled to treat problems stretching from usual disorders for example, ingrown and fungal toe nails, to those which are a lot more perplexing like clubfoot, bunions, or reconstructive surgery of the foot.
