Dr.’s at The Foot Institute – Grande Prairie specialize in the surgical and medical therapy of the ankle and foot. Our doctors put in about 10 years in higher education, the first 4 years in undergraduate studies to obtain a Bachelors Degree, and the second 4 years in Medical School to acquire a Podiatric Medical Degree. Podiatric Medical School corresponds to regular medical school and in point of fact several podiatry training programs are located inside these schools. Upon attaining a Podiatric Medial Degree, Podiatrists at the Foot Institute complete a hospital "internship" or post degree residency for yet another one to three years.

At the completion of the internship or residency, our Podiatric physicians have received extensive medical instruction with a stress on complications involving the feet and ankles. Our Doctors are educated to care for difficulties ranging from commonplace ailments for instance fungal and ingrown toenails, to those which are even more perplexing such as clubfoot, bunions, or reconstructive surgery of the foot.
