They invest about a decade in education, the first 4 years in undergraduate studies to secure a Bachelors Degree, and the following four years in Medical School to attain a Podiatric Medical Degree. Podiatric Medical School resembles traditional medical school and as a matter of fact many podiatry training programs are located inside these institutions. After getting a Podiatric Medial Degree, Doctors at the Foot Institute finish a hospital "internship" or residency for yet another 1 to 3 years.

At the completion of the internship or residency, our Doctors have gained comprehensive medical training with a focus on problems concerning the feet and ankles. They are educated to treat conditions extending from common problems like ingrown and fungal toenails, to those which are a lot more sophisticated like clubfoot, bunions, or reconstructive surgery of the foot. Our Doctors have comprehensive surgical education which provide them the experience needed to carry out surgery on those conditions that are ideally treated through surgical intervention.

Doctors at the Foot Institute also have a comprehensive expertise and understanding of biomechanics, which is the study of the forces which the legs and feet endure as we walk, run or perform other activities. Having knowledge of biomechanics and gait deviations permits a Podiatrist to design shoes and orthotics that can deliver pain relief and avoid countless problems which the feet typically experience.
