Our doctors devote around ten years in higher education, the first 4 years in undergraduate studies to obtain a Bachelors Degree, and the next 4 years in Medical School to attain a Podiatric Medical Degree. Podiatric Medical School resembles traditional medical school and many podiatry programs are contained within these academic institutions. After obtaining a Podiatric Medial Degree, Doctors at the Foot Institute undertake a hospital "internship" or residency for yet another one to three years.

At the completion of the internship or post degree residency, our Doctors have obtained significant medical education with a concentration on complications regarding the feet and ankles. Foot Institute Doctors are skilled to address difficulties ranging from standard ailments such as ingrown and fungal toe nails, to those which are even more perplexing for instance, clubfoot, bunions, or reconstructive surgery of the foot. Our Doctors have comprehensive surgical training which give them the skill necessary to execute surgery on those troubles that are ideally managed through surgical treatment.

Foot Institute Doctors furthermore have an extensive expertise and understanding of biomechanics, which is the study of the forces which the legs and feet go through as we walk, run or perform other activities. Knowing biomechanics and gait irregularities makes it possible for a Podiatrist to develop shoes and orthotics which can offer pain relief and help prevent a large number of problems which the feet usually encounter.
