They put in about ten years in education, the first four years in undergraduate studies to attain a Bachelors Degree, and the next four years in Medical School to attain a Podiatric Medical Degree. Podiatric Medical School corresponds to usual medical school and in reality several podiatry programmes are contained within these schools. Upon obtaining a Podiatric Medial Degree, Doctors at the Foot Institute undertake a hospital "internship" or residency for an additional 1 - 3 years.

At the completion of the internship or residency, our Doctors have received extensive healthcare training with an attention to on concerns concerning the ankles and feet. They are taught to treat problems extending from common problems like ingrown and fungal toe nails, to those which are a lot more complex for example clubfoot, bunions, or reconstructive surgery of the foot.
